Gods Own BYU Fall

Gods Own BYU Fall on 14 November 2026 is a backyard ultra held at Hunters Greave, Pollard Lane, Hawksworth, Leeds LS5 3BF. Competitors set off on the hour every hour to complete a 4.167 mile loop. To continue into the next hour a runner must complete the loop within the hour; failure to reach the start area before the bell at the hour results in disqualification and a DNF. The event continues until only one competitor finishes a loop alone and is declared the champion.

The course is not flat and includes elevation gain each loop. Surfaces include canal towpath, farmland trail, woodland trail and tarmac paths. A night variation of the loop avoids crossing the canal and follows a tarmac canal towpath section. The route will be fully waymarked and marshalled.

Facilities listed for participants include hot and cold water, fruit, sweets, toilets, first aid cover, camping at the start/finish and parking (parking area to be confirmed). Limited campervan space must be pre-arranged. Support and crew may camp at the venue for the event duration. All participants receive a Yorkshire goodie bag; t-shirts and hoodies will be available during the event.

Participants must be 18 or older. Runners should wear appropriate clothing for the conditions and bring a headtorch and spare batteries if they expect to run into the night. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
