Flower Scar Fell Race

The Flower Scar Fell Race is a winter fell race starting close to Todmorden town centre and covering terrain that includes steep climbs, rough moor and fast paths. The course distance is 13.3 km with approximately 660 m of ascent. The event is held on 21 February 2026 and is run as an AM category race under FRA rules. Race headquarters are at Todmorden Cricket Club, Burnley Road, Todmorden, OL14 7BS.

Entry, safety and facilities

Entry costs are £10 for FRA members and £12 for non-members, with entries handled via Si Entries from late November 2025. Minimum age is 18. There is a cutoff at CP1 set at 50 minutes from the start; runners unable to meet this will be asked to return to race headquarters. Mandatory winter kit follows FRA rules and includes a waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers with taped seams, a hat (a Buff is not accepted), gloves, map and compass, whistle and emergency food. Hot food will be available at race headquarters with meat and vegan chilli options at £6 per head. Parking is available at the Cricket Club or on surrounding streets.
