Flower Scar Fell Race

Todmorden, United Kingdom • 21 Feb 2026

Event overview

The Flower Scar Fell Race takes place on 21 February 2026 in the South/West Pennines, based at Todmorden Cricket Club, Burnley Road, Todmorden, OL14 7BS. The race is an AM-category fell race under FRA rules. The course distance is approximately 13 km (about 8.1 miles) with 660 m of ascent. Minimum age for entry is 18 and there are no junior races.

Course and safety

The route includes steep climbs, rough moor and fast paths typical of South Pennine fell running, and starts close to Todmorden town centre. There is a cutoff at CP1 set at 50 minutes from the start; runners who cannot meet this time will be asked to return to race HQ because marshalls are on the course in winter conditions. Full FRA mandatory kit is required, including waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams, hat (a Buff is not accepted), gloves, map and compass, whistle and emergency food. A strict no kit - no run policy applies.

Entry and logistics

Pre-entry is required; entry on the day is not available. Entry fees are £10 for FRA members and £12 for non-members, with online entry via Si Entries from late November 2025. Teams are allowed with separate male and female team prizes based on the top three counters. Parking is available at the cricket club or on surrounding streets. Hot food will be available at race HQ, with meat and vegan chilli options priced at £6 per head. Course records for 2024 are listed for male and female winners.
