Its Grim Up North Running’s Sir Titus Summer Trot takes place beside the canal near Saltaire’s world heritage village in Saltaire, Shipley, West Yorkshire. The event offers distances from 5k to Ultra, all on a largely flat towpath suitable for runners of all abilities, from casual participants to PB chasers. The atmosphere is supportive, with feed stations roughly every three miles, cheering marshals, and toilets at the start and finish.

Finishers receive a bespoke medal and edible goodies. Getting there is easy by rail (Saltaire station is a short walk) or car, with nearby parking and a cup-less policy encouraging reusable bottles.
