Event Overview
The Ferris 50 is an endurance run on November 7, 2026, offering three race distances: 50 Miler, 50K, and 15K. It is located in Minden, Nevada, at the foot of the Carson Range in the Sierra Nevada.
Course Details
The courses are a mix of single-track trails, OHV trails, and minimal pavement, traversing the foothills of eastern Carson Valley. All distances start in the arena at the Douglas County Fairgrounds (920 Dump Road) and finish at TJ’s Corral outside the Carson Valley Inn. Shuttles are provided from the host hotel to the start. Crews are allowed with one vehicle per runner. Pacers are generally not permitted.
Race Information
Packet pickup is on November 6, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at TJ’s Corral. Race day packet pickup is also available there prior to shuttle departure. Buses depart the Carson Valley Inn one hour before each race start.
Aid stations are available on all courses, with bag drops for the 50 Miler and 50K distances. Safety patrols on OHVs and mountain bikes will be present on the course. Headlamps or a light source are required for 50 Miler and 50K runners as the start is before sunrise. Trekking poles are allowed.
Finish Festival
The finish at TJ’s Corral features a festival atmosphere with music, food, drinks, and vendor booths. Award ceremonies are scheduled: 50 Miler and 50K at 5:00 PM, and 15K at 2:00 PM.
Finishers receive a long sleeve shirt: 50 Miler finishers also get a race buckle and cash prizes for top placings; 50K and 15K finishers receive a race medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
