Ferris 50

Event

Ferris 50 is an endurance run held on November 7, 2026, in Minden, Nevada. The event offers three distances:

• 50 M
• 50K
• 15K

The race starts at the Douglas County Fairgrounds arena and finishes at TJ’s Corral outside the Carson Valley Inn.

Course and logistics

Routes run through the eastern foothills of Carson Valley and use a mix of single-track, OHV trails, and minimal concrete. Surfaces include dirt, gravel, sand, and pavement. Shuttles will be provided from the host hotel to the start line. Packet pickup and drop-bag collection for the 50M and 50K take place at TJ’s Corral; race day packet pickup is also available at TJ’s Corral prior to shuttle departure. Registered runners may use free parking at the Carson Valley Inn.

Aid stations and rules

The 50M course has seven aid stations at approximate mile markers: 9.5, 15.7 (bag drop), 21.9, 29, 34.6, 41.2 (bag drop), and 46.2. The 50K has four aid stations at miles 9.5, 15.7 (bag drop), 21.9 (bag drop), and 26.9. The 15K has three aid stations at miles 3, 5, and 7. Crews are allowed with one vehicle per runner; pacers are generally not allowed. Trekking poles are permitted. 50M and 50K runners must begin the race with a light source; headlamp checks and requirements will be enforced later in the day. Cutoff times by aid station will be posted prior to the event.

Awards and policies

Finishers receive long sleeve finisher shirts; the 50M also includes a race buckle and cash podium prizes for the top three male and female finishers. Registrations are non-refundable; a 75% credit toward next year may be issued for withdrawals made at least 30 days before race day.
