Exterminator Fell Race

Sheffield, United Kingdom • 6 Sep 2026

Exterminator : Totley AC

The Exterminator is a fell race organised by Totley AC. The course is approximately 27 km / 17 miles with a total climb of about 1,066 m and is classified as an FRA category B Long (BL) race. The route is partly marshalled, not waymarked, and includes road, track and footpath through woodland, fields, open moorland, villages and hamlets. Runners choose their own route in places and must be competent at self-navigation.

Entry, kit, checkpoints and facilities

Pre-entry and on-the-day entry are available. Fees are £11 plus a £1 administration charge for pre-entry and £13 for on-the-day entry (cash only). FRA best-practice mandatory kit must be carried: waterproof whole-body cover with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle and emergency food. Use of GPS/GPX for navigation is prohibited and will lead to disqualification. Mandatory kit checks will be carried out before and possibly after the race.

All checkpoints must be visited in order. Two checkpoints require visible clipping/punching of race numbers; failure to do so will result in disqualification. There are two water stations but no disposable cups, so runners should carry their own bottle or cup. Facilities at the pavilion include toilets, showers and changing rooms. Parking near the start is limited and will be signposted on the day. Prizes are awarded by gender, team and in age groups from 18-23 up to V70.
