The El-Brim-Ick Dash is organised by the Cosmic Hillbashers Running Club and takes place on 3 January 2026 at Craibstone Golf Club, Bucksburn, Aberdeen (AB21 9SX). The route covers 4.25 miles with approximately 856 ft of total ascent. Entry is limited to a total of 99 places and the entry fee is £17. All competitors must be 18 or over on race day. No entries are accepted on the day.

Race details and facilities

The course has limited route markings and higher sections are exposed; runners are expected to navigate and follow marshals positioned at strategic points and at the road crossing. No dogs are allowed on the course with runners. There are no water stations on the route. Toilets and changing rooms are available at the club house. The event is run under Scottish Hill Runners guidelines and entrants accept responsibility for their own safety.

Prizes, food and parking

Age-category prizes are offered for male and female classes, including senior and veteran categories (FV40, FV50, FV60, FV70 and corresponding male categories). Race entry includes a pre-ordered meal choice of stovies with beetroot and oatcakes or a vegan curry served with rice and a poppadom; both options include a refillable hot or cold drink. A selection of homebakes will be available for sale. Parking is available at Craibstone Golf Club but may be limited; an overspill car park may be used and nearby Brimmond and Elrick car parks provide alternatives.
