Course, prizes and facilities

The route has limited course markings so runners are expected to navigate. Higher sections are exposed. Marshals will be stationed at key points and at the road crossing for safety and direction. Dogs are not allowed on the course. The race is run under Scottish Hill Runners guidelines and entrants are responsible for their own safety. There are no water stations on the course.

Prize categories are by age group for male and female competitors, and prizes are presented after the last runner has finished. Race entry includes a pre-ordered meal choice (stovies with beetroot and oatcakes, or vegan curry with rice and a poppadom) served with a refillable hot or cold drink; the vegan option must be indicated at sign-up. No other refreshments are provided, though homebakes will be available for sale. Toilets and changing rooms are available at the clubhouse. Parking is available at the golf club but may be limited; overspill will be used and nearby Brimmond and Elrick car parks are additional options.
