Eastern States 100 : Pennsylvania Wilds ultramarathon
The Eastern States 100 is a single-loop ultramarathon of 103-mile distance that circumnavigates the Pine Creek watershed, described as the Circumnavigation of the Lost and Bewildered River. The course runs on trails in Pennsylvania’s Wilds and includes more than 20,000+ feet of climbing. The event materials include course maps, charts, and a course narrative to describe terrain and routing.
The race is organized by the Eastern States Trail-Endurance Alliance, a local volunteer organization that manages multiple trail events including Ironstone 100K, Eagleton Trail Challenge, and SHEastern States. The organizer posts regular updates and race information, including aid station details and crew policies. Recent course notices note that Aid Station 2 has been relocated and renamed to Bonnell Flats at Mile 11.6, and that, effective 2026, crews are no longer permitted at Aid Station 14 Barrens. Registration for the event opened on October 1, and the site notes the event is scheduled for August 8, 2026. Additional logistical information such as aid station locations and crew guidance is published by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
