Call of the Wilds Mountain Fest

Call of the Wilds Mountain Fest takes place on October 24, 2026 at Little Pine State Park in Waterville, PA. The event offers two trail distances and runs during peak fall foliage. The 25K course follows a series of named trails: Mid State, Spiked Buck, Tiadaghton, Pesto, Panther Run and Torbert Trail, and finishes with a downhill section on Panther Run. The 10K features one major climb followed by a downhill that links onto Panther Run to the common finish.

Cutoffs for the 25K are set at multiple mile markers to ensure a daylight finish. Vertical gain is specified as over 5,000 feet for the 25K and about 1,000 feet for the 10K. The field is limited to 400 total runners across both distances. Registration opens December 16; entry fees are $80 for the 25K and $55 for the 10K. The event policy states there are no refunds, deferrals, bib transfers or unofficial entries.

Course maps and race-day information are provided for each distance. Participants should prepare for sustained trail climbing and technical sections on named trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
