The Call of the Wilds Mountain Fest takes place in Waterville, PA, at 4205 Little Pine Creek Road. The event offers the following distances:

  • 50K
  • 25K
  • 10K

The finish line for all races is timed by Falcon Timing. Food and drink will be available on site. The event is limited to 400 total runners across all distances. Registration opens December 18 at 7pm EST and closes October 11 at 11:59pm ET. Entry fees are $95 for the 50K, $80 for the 25K, and $50 for the 10K. The organizer states there are no refunds, no deferrals, no bib switches, and no bandits.

Courses and cut-offs

The 25K and 50K courses use Mid State, Spiked Buck, Tiadaghton, Pesto, Panther Run, and Torbert Trail. The 10K uses Love Run, Mid State, and Panther Run. The 25K has over 5,000 feet of vertical gain and the 50K has about 8,000 feet. Torbert Trail appears on the final 4 miles before the finish.

Brave the Frozen Snot in McElhattan, PA on Feb 7, 2026, a technical winter mountain trail race with steep climbs, boulder fields and rope assisted descents. Multiple distances up to a rugged 25K; not for beginners.

Fire on the Rocks 10K is an intermediate trail run at Zindel Park featuring about 6.5 to 6.6 miles and 1,400 feet of climbing across rugged singletrack and ridgelines. Enjoy sweeping views and sticky buns at the finish.
