Call of the Wilds Mountain Fest

Call of the Wilds Mountain Fest takes place on October 24, 2026 at Little Pine State Park in Waterville, PA. The event is scheduled during peak fall foliage and offers two trail distances that share part of the final approach to the finish.

• 25K with over 5,000 feet of vertical
• 10K with about 1,000 feet of vertical

The 25K route uses a sequence of park trails including Mid State, Spiked Buck, Tiadaghton, Pesto, Panther Run and Torbert Trail. After Torbert Trail the course descends on Panther Run toward the finish. The 10K includes a single long climb followed by a downhill that links onto Panther Run to join the 25K finish.

The 25K has course cut-offs at miles 5.5, 11, and 13 to ensure a daylight finish. The field is limited to 400 total runners across both distances. Registration opens December 16 at 7pm EST. Entry fees listed are $80 for the 25K and $55 for the 10K. The event policy states there are no refunds, no deferrals, no bib transfers, and no unofficial entries. Organizers note these courses are not intended as entry level and advise appropriate preparation for steep and technical trail terrain.
