Call of the Wilds Mountain Fest : Little Pine State Park, Waterville, PA

Call of the Wilds Mountain Fest is a trail race day held October 24, 2026, at Little Pine State Park. The event offers three distances and uses a network of named trails in the area, including Mid State, Spiked Buck, Tiadaghton, Pesto, Panther Run and Torbert. The 10K route uses Love Run, Mid State and Panther Run.

Organizers state these courses are not for beginners and list substantial elevation gain: the 25K has over 5,000 feet of vertical and the 50K about 8,000 feet. Cut-offs are in place at specific mile markers to ensure runners finish in daylight; cut-off locations are provided for both the 25K and 50K courses. The final portion of the longer courses includes Torbert Trail with roughly four miles remaining before the finish. Falcon Timing handles finish line timing, and food and drink will be available after the races.

Registration opens in mid-December at 7pm EST and the field is limited to 400 total runners. Fees listed by organizers include $95 for the 50K and $80 for the 25K. Registration closes in early October. The event policy states no refunds, no deferrals, no bib switches and no bandits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
