Doomsday 5K at Cliff Cave County Park

The Doomsday 5K is a trail race presented by Terrain Trail Runners at Cliff Cave County Park, 806 Cliff Cave Rd, Saint Louis, MO. The course distance is 5K with approximately 272 feet of elevation gain.

The route begins a short distance past the train tracks and includes paved approaches of about half a mile at the start and finish. The central portion uses the Spring Valley Trail Outer Loop for roughly 1.8 miles. Spring Valley Trail is an all dirt trail with rolling hills and sections with roots and rocks; it is described as beginner friendly.

Registration information notes an online registration opening on June 26, 2026 at 12:00 AM CT. Race day onsite registration will be available for a stated fee and is cash only; onsite registrants receive a custom Doomsday 5K pint or may exchange it for a shirt if sizes remain. Online registrants receive a choice of a cotton t shirt, a pint glass, or an opt out to plant a tree. All finishers receive a custom medal.

Event policies emphasize sustainability. The race is cup free so participants are asked to bring their own mug for coffee and a mess kit for post race snacks. Awards include credits for top male, female, and non binary performers toward future Terrain Trail Runners events.
