Dirty Duo : Trail Whisperer Race Series

The Dirty Duo is a spring trail race held at Inter River Park in North Vancouver. The event presents multiple course options on rugged North Shore trails and is described as suitable for pre-summer peak training. Start and finish are at Inter River Park near the BMX track and bathrooms.

  • 15K Relay (each runner completes 15K)

The longer course includes the Old Buck climb. A relay option lets two runners each complete 15 km.

Course support, cutoffs and awards

Aid stations are positioned on course and will carry water, electrolyte drink, gels, chewables, chips, cookies and other treats; first aid supplies are available at every aid station. Aid station locations include Fisherman’s & Bridle Path junction, Mushroom & Upper Dales junction, and Old Buck & Empress Bypass. The course closes at 2:30 p.m.; the longer route has a cut-off for the second loop at the Fisherman’s/Bridle Path aid station.

Top three finishers by gender will be awarded in each event, and every finisher receives a medal. The series operates as a cup-free event; participants must bring their own container for fluids at aid stations and the finish.

Logistics

Package pickup is offered the Friday before the race at the Running Room in North Vancouver and on race day at the start area. Dry bags may be dropped at the race start if marked with the race number. An orientation run and clinic are scheduled before race day.
