The Golden Ears 5 Peaks Trail Running event takes place at Golden Ears Provincial Park in British Columbia as part of the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series. The event includes multiple distances for youth and adults, a non-competitive hiking division led by pace leaders, and an awards ceremony after results are compiled. The race is organized as a cup-free event; water and an on-course electrolyte beverage will be available at the start, finish, and at one or more aid stations. Washroom facilities are available at the start/finish area. Parking is available in Parking Lot 2 near the start/finish.

  • 12 km Enduro Run or Hike
  • 16 km Grit Run

Race distances and routes may change based on trail conditions. The hiking division starts earlier than the main races, is led by two pace leaders, is non-competitive, and does not allow running; estimated finish times are about 2 hours for the Sport course and 3 hours for the Enduro. Spectators are welcome. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers by gender and age category in each distance and to top overall finishers; optional finisher medals and other swag can be pre-purchased or bought on site while supplies last. Certain items are not allowed on course, including dogs, headphones, strollers, baby carriers, and nordic poles except in hiking divisions.
