Hallow’s Eve

The Hallow’s Eve trail running event takes place in North Vancouver, starting and finishing at Inter River Park near the BMX track. The races navigate the trail networks of Vancouver’s North Shore, beginning at the base of Lynn Creek.

There are three distances available for participants:

  • Marathon (42 km)
  • Half Marathon (22 km)
  • 10 km trail race

The marathon route features an ascent via the Jetboy trail, connecting to the Skyline trail. A specific cut-off time is enforced for the marathon at the Lynn Headwaters aid station at noon (approximately 24.5 km into the race).

The event features a Halloween theme, and participants often run in costume with awards presented for the best outfits. This is a cup-less event, requiring runners to carry their own reusable containers for fluids. Aid stations are situated along the courses and provide water, electrolyte drinks, gels, and snacks.

All participants receive a finisher medal upon completion. A dry bag drop-off service is available at the start area for personal belongings. A free course orientation run is typically offered in the weeks leading up to the race. Parking is available at Inter River Park and Capilano University, though carpooling is recommended by the organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
