Loop the Vedder
The event takes place on off road trails along the Vedder River in Chilliwack, British Columbia. The loop course mixes fast, relatively flat gravel sections with winding single track. The route passes the Blue Heron Nature Reserve, dyke trails, the Brown Creek wetlands and offers valley and mountain views including Mt Cheam, Vedder Mountain and the Cascade Range.

The 21 km route includes three aid stations; the 10 km includes one aid station at the turnaround. Aid station items include water, packaged energy gels and other packaged energy, snacks and basic first aid supplies.
There is no race day registration. Included with registration are a souvenir finishing medal, a souvenir t-shirt (guaranteed if registered by October 1), a race bib, individual timing, a marked course, on-site first aid, aid station and finish line treats, and a minimum five dollar contribution per registration to the Chilliwack Park Society. Since the first Loop the Vedder in 2019, overall contributions to trails exceed thirty eight thousand dollars.
Package pick-up is available in advance at Garrison Running Co and race day pick-up is also provided; photo ID is required to collect a race bib. The start and finish area is near the corner of Petawawa Road and Dieppe Street by Vedder Park. The area becomes busy on event day; free parking is provided at several nearby UFV lots and other nearby parking is available in Garrison Village.
