Event Overview

DirtRun In The Dark - Race 2 is an evening trail running event scheduled for November at the Wyre Forest. The race is base at the Callow Hill Visitor Centre in Kidderminster and utilizes the natural landscape of the forest during nighttime hours. The event is limited to a maximum of 200 participants and allows for canicross entries.

Course Details

The course consists of an off-road route that takes participants through various tracks and trails within the forest. Participants follow a specific distance format:

  • 10 km (consisting of 2 laps)

Because the event takes place after sunset, the use of a torch is a compulsory requirement for all runners to navigate the forest paths safely.

Participant Information

The event is open to runners aged 14 years and older on the day of the race. Registration is categorized into male and female divisions, with prizes awarded to the first three finishers in each gender. All competitors who complete the course receive a medal and finish goodies.

Facilities and Logistics

The venue provides on-site toilet facilities, though the cafe at the visitor centre is not operational during the event. To reduce waste, the organizer provides a self-service water refill station located at the half distance point of the 10 km run. This station includes a water container with a tap and cups for runners to use.

Policies

The event maintains a strict no-refund policy. However, entries may be transferred once to another event organized by DirtRun, provided the organizer is notified before the race takes place. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
