Dirt Run Irchester Country Park - Round 1

This event is the first round of the Dirt Run Winter Trail Series, held at Irchester Country Park on Sunday 24 January 2027. The course is set in a Jurassic landscape and follows varied multi-terrain, including trails, climbs and mud. The route is presented in an uphill format and runs in the opposite direction to 2025.

Distances for Round 1:

  • 5K - 1 lap
  • 10K - 2 laps
  • 15K - 3 laps

All runners start together. For 10K and 15K participants, later laps include an additional trail section to add variety. Participants may switch distance on the day by speaking to the registration team; upgrades require cash payment.

Practical details include recommended footwear of trail shoes and availability of toilets at the venue. Parking is available at the country park; any charges should be checked with the park and may require cash. Each round awards a custom finisher medal, with a different design for each event and ribbon colours that indicate distance.

An obstacle 5k at Priory Park, Bedford on 25 July 2026 featuring climbs, crawls and muddy obstacles. Organised by Cancer Research UK, it uses staggered wave starts, has basic on site facilities and is not suitable for wheelchair users.

A 12 hour multi terrain lap event at Riverside Park, St Neots, held alongside two triathlons as part of a festival. Entries are Solo, Pair or Teams of 3 to 6; awards, medals, family activities and camping are provided.

The Stopsley Trail Race on Sunday 9 August 2026 offers 5K, 5 miles and 10 miles on scenic undulating trails along the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire border. Entries include chip timing, bespoke medals, free photos and participant goodies.
