The course begins with a short loop near the pavilion and then enters the woods. Runners follow a rolling route that descends by an old railroad trestle and follows a section of the old pioneer road from the late 1700s. The route threads through Ault Park's network of trails, covers about 3.6 miles, returns toward the pavilion and finishes at the soccer field. The course includes many twists and turns and a few hills.
There will be age graded awards and a random drawing for prizes; the grand prize winner must be present to claim the prize. Event shirts are available as Dirt Days Trail Series tech shirts for $20 each; they may be purchased with registration or at the Fleet Feet tent at the venue. A season pass covering all eight Dirt Days Trail Series events is offered for $150 and includes a tech shirt; the package is available only until the second event in the series.
Registration information lists a $23.50 registration fee with a $5 discount for participants 14 and under.
