Course and logistics

One lap is about 5.4 miles and the two-lap option is about 10.6 miles. The current course follows a counter-clockwise loop through Mt. Airy Forest, incorporating trails, meadows, hardwoods, evergreens, and ridge terrain. Timing will use MyLaps disposable bib tags; the chip is on the bib and does not need to be returned.

Pre-registration is listed as $22.50 per race, online only. Children 14 and under receive a $5 discount at checkout. A season pass covering all eight Dirt Days Trail Series events is offered. Trail Series shirts are available for $20 with registration or at the venue. Race day packet pick-up is handled on site; check-in is available the morning of the event.

Awards and extras

Overall top male and female in each race receive a pair of Altra shoes, with rules to prevent duplicate winners across the series.
