Devil Dog Ultras

Devil Dog Ultras is a trail ultramarathon held in Triangle, VA within Prince William Forest Park (Cabin Camp 5). The event offers multiple looped distances over primarily single-track trails with occasional roots, rocks, brief technical sections, spurts of fire road and rolling hills with no substantial climbs. The course is described as very well-marked.

Distances

• 100 mile - five loops (first 23 miles; subsequent 19.5 miles)
• 100K - three loops (first 23 miles; subsequent 19.5 miles)
• 50K - one 23-mile loop plus a 9-mile loop

Each loop includes three staffed aid stations (Camp Remi start/finish, Camp Gunny, Camp Toofy) and three unmanned resupply points (RP Alpha, Bravo, Charlie) that provide only water. Crew access is allowed at Camp Remi and Camp Toofy only; there is no crew access at Camp Gunny or the resupply points. Time limits are 10 hours for the 50K, 20 hours for the 100K and 32 hours for the 100 mile.

Entry is limited to 300 runners and a waitlist will open if races fill. The 100 mile requires completion of a 50-mile race within the prior two years. Refunds and deferrals are not available; bib transfers are allowed under specified conditions with a fee and a Nov. 5 transfer deadline. Bunkhouse lodging is offered for registered runners with 75 beds available and on-site shuttle service for vehicles parked offsite. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
