Run to the Taproom - Creekside Farm Brewery 5K & 8K

The Run to the Taproom takes place at the Creekside Farm Brewery in King George, Virginia. This event features two distinct distances for participants:

  • 5K
  • 8K

The courses consist of well-maintained, non-technical dirt trails that wind through a 1,000-acre farm bordering the Rappahannock River. Both distances are chip-timed, and awards are presented to the top three overall finishers as well as the top performers in various age groups, ranging from under 20 to 70 and over. There is a time limit of 1 hour and 40 minutes for the 8K and 1 hour for the 5K.

The event is held on a packed dirt and gravel surface. Strollers are permitted, though the off-road terrain may not be suitable for all models. Dogs are allowed to participate if they are leashed and well-behaved. Walkers and children are specifically welcome to participate in the 5K event.

Participants receive a custom technical shirt and a souvenir pint glass. Following the run, there is an on-site gathering featuring live music and food trucks. Registrants aged 21 and over receive a complimentary beer ticket for the brewery's tasting room. Free parking is available at the venue, and the race proceeds regardless of rain or shine.
