2025 Wilderness Run 5k & 10k
The event takes place on October 18 at Wilderness Run Vineyard in Spotsylvania, VA (11109 Plank Rd; GPS 38.325153, -77.719921). It features cross country trail courses with hills. The 5k is an out-and-back once and the 10k is two laps of the 5k. Points count toward the 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series and the Sippin’ Series. A virtual race option is available. Walkers are welcome.

Logistics and race details
Runners receive one glass of wine or one glass of beer, a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-FIT) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before October 8; extras may be available afterward on a first-come basis. Registration fees listed are: 5k $35 until September 30 ($40 after), 10k $50 until September 30 ($55 after). Price increases by $5 on race morning.
Water stations: seven on the 10k (approximate mile markers 0.75, 1.55, 2.35, 3.1, 3.85, 4.6, 5.4) and three on the 5k (approximate mile markers 0.75, 1.55, 2.35). Gatorade available at some stations. Awards are given to the top 3 men and women overall and to 1st and 2nd places in standard age groups; overall top 3 are not eligible for age-group awards. Packet pickup is available at the event; race day registration is offered but shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed. Parking is on-site. Port-a-johns are located behind the winery.
