2026 1781 Brewery 5k & 10k
The event takes place on February 14, 2026, at Wilderness Run, 11109 Plank Rd, Spotsylvania, VA. The courses run across the historic farm property on the Chancellorsville and Wilderness battlefields; the site includes a location where an arm amputation occurred during the Civil War. Walkers are welcome. The event benefits Semper Fi & America’s Fund and offers a virtual race option.

This is a cross country trail run with hills throughout. The 5k follows an out-and-back route once; the 10k is two laps of the 5k course. Course maps and elevation details are provided by the organizer.
Race services and awards
Runners receive one glass of beer from 1781 Brewing or one glass of wine from Wilderness Run Vineyards, a finisher’s medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations made before February 4; extras are available later on a first-come, first-served basis. Packet pickup is available at the event; the organizer recommends arriving about one hour before the event to check in. There are seven water stations on the 10k (approximate mile markers 0.75, 1.55, 2.35, 3.1, 3.85, 4.6, 5.4) and three on the 5k (approximate mile markers 0.75, 1.55, 2.35); Gatorade will be available at some stations. Port-a-johns are located behind the winery. Live results will be posted online and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards go to the top three men and women overall and to first and second in listed age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
