Sip & Stride 10k

Event Overview

The Sip & Stride 10k is a chip-timed run taking place at Southern Revere Cellars in Louisa, Virginia. Participants in the 10 km event run four laps on a cross-country course around the winery property. A companion 5 km race is also offered.

Registration & Fees

Registration is available online and on race day. The price for the 10 km is $50 until March 15, after which it increases to $55. Race-day registration incurs an additional $5 fee. A virtual run option is available for those who cannot attend on the scheduled date.

Participant Benefits

All runners receive a technical event shirt (guaranteed for registrations before April 8), chip timing, and one glass of wine or beer from Southern Revere Cellars.

Course & Support

The cross-country course features no major hills, with a "Back of the Pack" series time of 12:30 per mile designed for runners at that pace. Seven water stations are positioned along the 10 km route, with some also offering Gatorade. The course layout and number of aid stations are subject to change. Restrooms are located inside the winery.

Timing, Results & Awards

The event is chip-timed, and live results are posted online. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as first and second place in various age groups. Overall winners are not eligible for age-group awards.

Policies & Charity

The event operates rain or shine, with cancellation being rare. Packet pickup and race-day registration are available on-site. The race benefits Hooves & Paws Animal Rescue, a nonprofit providing sanctuary and adoption services for animals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
