The 53rd Winery 5k & 10k is held at Fifty-Third Winery & Vineyard on Shannon Hill Road in Louisa, Virginia. The event includes on-site races and virtual participation, and proceeds benefit Hooves & Paws Animal Rescue.

Hooves & Paws Animal Rescue is a nonprofit that provides rescue and sanctuary for abused and abandoned animals. The organization cares for dogs, cats, horses and farm animals, places adoptable animals in loving homes, and provides lifelong care for animals that cannot be adopted. The rescue recently relocated from Southern California to Louisa and continues to build fencing and shelters at its Virginia sanctuary.
