Points from this event count toward Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available. The event benefits Semper K9.

Course, services and logistics

Courses run on heavily wooded trails with hills and technical obstacles such as roots, stones, and steep inclines. Surface breakdown: the 5k is trail; the 10k is mostly trail with over one mile of paved road; the half and full are about 75% trail and 25% pavement. Water stations: 2 on the 5k, 2 on the 10k, 6 on the half, and 12 on the full. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Portajohns will be available near the start/finish.

Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical Dri-fit event shirt, and chip timing. Top three overall men and women receive awards; age-group awards are given for listed age categories. Packet pickup is available at the event; there is no on-site race registration. Parking is off Pleasant Road next to the campground (GPS pin: 38.598980, -77.355086). The organizer operates as an all-weather event and will notify registrants if the race is canceled or changed. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before Jan 21; early registration pricing applies through Jan 15 and increases on race morning.
