The Fall Backyard Burn at Lake Fairfax Park is a trail run scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Reston, VA. The course follows mostly smooth singletrack with a few short technical sections featuring rocks and roots, minimal pavement, and lake views. There are no extended climbs but many short ups and downs.

The event is staged at Canopy Pavilion G with parking on the grass field in front of the pavilion and in the Water Mine Water Park gravel lot.

Race policies include visible race numbers, no in-ear headphones, no pets or pacers, no strollers on course, and staying on designated trails. There are no cut-off times. Age categories are Male, Female, and Non-Binary across standard youth and adult brackets.

Registration fees vary by registration period; 5 mile fees range from $45 to $60 and 10 mile fees range from $55 to $67.50.
