Delano Park in Decatur, Alabama, stages an ultrarunning event on March 6, 2027 that includes individual and team formats. The course is a USATF certified 1.00 mile loop located in Delano Park. The surface is completely unpaved, partially tree lined, and has less than 15 feet of elevation change per lap. Aid is available on every lap and there are permanent bathrooms plus additional port-a-potties along the trail.
The event offers multiple entry options and awards. Personalized finisher plaques, a race T-shirt, and other schwag are provided to participants. Registered names and relay team names are sent to the awards maker on February 22; registrants who meet that date are guaranteed personalized plaques. Awards in the 12 Hour event are based on highest mileage with prizes for overall, masters, and grandmasters; relay awards are based on team mileage. In the 50 mile event, awards by time are given to the first male and first female individual. Final rankings depend on completion of full laps; laps completed after the event cut off will not count.
Relay teams may include two, three, or four persons; the team captain registers and pays for the whole team. Late registrations for individual 12 Hour and 50 mile divisions may be accepted at Friday packet pickup if divisions are not full. Refunds of registration fees are not available after January 31, 2027; any refund issued will be the registration fee only and tax and platform fees are not refunded.
