The event is a trail race held at 10130 Spragins Hollow Rd NW in Huntsville, Alabama. It offers three distance options:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
The entry package includes a hooded sweatshirt, a finisher medal, and a post-race meal. After the race organizers will provide grilled hamburgers and drinks to runners. Packet pickup is offered at the RunningLane store in Huntsville; the store address is 2407 Memorial Parkway SW Suite 1.
This is presented as North Alabama's only trail marathon and takes place on low-traffic trails. The race is a cupless event; participants must carry a hand-held bottle, pack, or reusable cup. A RunningLane reusable cup is available for purchase at checkout for five dollars. Course maps and elevation profiles are available on Strava for each distance.
Time cutoffs are in place: an eight hour cutoff for the marathon and a six hour cutoff for the half marathon. Marathon runners must reach the midway area (about 14.8 miles) within the event cutoff or be removed from the course. Aid stations will monitor progress for the half marathon.
The event is expected to proceed rain or shine unless severe weather or land management concerns require delay, course alteration, or cancellation. Registration closes October 15.
