Oak Park Challenge 7 Mile Trail Run

The Oak Park Challenge is a trail race held on October 11, 2026 in Huntsville, Alabama. The event features a single 7 Miles course that begins at the base of Monte Sano Mountain at the Oak Park Recreation Center, follows trails up the mountain for just over three miles to the top, and returns along the same route. Course marking will use pink Fleet Feet flags.

Aid stations with water only are located at approximately the 2-mile and 4-mile marks. Packet pick-up is available at Fleet Feet Huntsville on the Saturday before the event from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and race packets for out-of-town participants are available starting at 7:00 AM on race day. Race day instructions will be sent to participants on the Wednesday before the race. A training group is organized for participants in advance of the race.

Registrations open on June 21, 2026 and close on September 1, 2026. The stated registration fee is $40.00. The event is described as non-refundable; organizers list possible contingency options if the in-person event cannot proceed, including postponement, conversion to a virtual event, deferral to the next year, or cancellation.
