Frozen Yeti : Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series Race 1
Frozen Yeti is a trail running event organized by RunningLane Events at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, AL. It is the first race in the Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series, a set of three winter trail races that include both short and long course options. The event field is capped at 400 runners.

Courses include bluff views, creek crossings and waterfalls. Several aid stations are placed along the routes offering water, Gatorade, coke, GU, pretzels, M&M's and granola bars. Marco's Pizza is listed as a series sponsor and pizza is provided at the finish line.
The event is a cupless race; participants must carry a handheld bottle, pack or reusable cup. A RunningLane reusable cup is available for purchase at checkout for $5. Organizers state there will be very loose cutoffs and note a 17 minute per mile cutoff for Long Series participants. They recommend that runners who cannot maintain 15 minute miles consider the Short Series.
All entrants in the Frozen Yeti 5 Miler and 10 Miler receive a short sleeve tri-blend t-shirt and a finisher award. Entries are nonrefundable and organizers do not mail shirts or medals to participants who do not attend.
