The Dizzy Fifties takes place Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, AL. This is a Huntsville Track Club event and the 22nd annual running of the race. Distances offered:
- 50K (three loops)
- 20 Mile (two loops)
- 10 Mile (one loop)
Registration closes Wednesday, November 12. The field is capped at 200 runners across all distances. Packet pickup is scheduled on the days before the race at local businesses in Huntsville and on race morning at the pavilion.
Course, aid and rules
All distances use the same figure-8 "big" loop, with each big loop approximately 10 miles and about 1,000 ft of climbing. The 50K covers roughly 3,000 ft of total gain. The route uses South Plateau Loop, Firetower, the Family Bike Trail (Bucca), Logan-Keith, and the climb up Sinks. Runners pass near the pavilion aid station around 6.4 miles and must check in at the arch after completing each big loop.
The race is cupless; participants receive a reusable cup. One fully stocked pavilion aid station will provide food and drinks. Aid opportunities: 50K - 5, 20 Mile - 3, 10 Mile - 1. Medical support is provided by HEMSI. Bibs must be worn on the front and visible at all times; bib transfers are not allowed. Distance changes to a shorter race are allowed before Wednesday, November 12 only; starting and finishing rules require finishing the distance for which a runner is registered to appear in official results. Prohibited on course: bicycles, strollers, pets, roller skates, and skateboards. Headphones are strongly discouraged. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
