Dizzy Fifties
Dizzy Fifties is a trail running event organized by the Huntsville Track Club at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, AL. Runners complete a figure-8 big loop of roughly 10 miles that includes a flatter plateau section, a pavilion aid area, descents into Logan-Keith, and the steep climb up Sinks. Each big loop has about 1,000 ft of climbing; the 50K totals roughly 3,000 ft of gain.
Distance options
- 50K - 3 loops, approximately 30 miles
- 20 Mile - 2 loops
- 10 Mile - 1 loop
This is a cupless race; participants receive a reusable cup as part of race swag. There is one fully stocked aid station at the pavilion with food, water, and sodas. Aid access by distance is: 50K five opportunities, 20 Mile three opportunities, 10 Mile one opportunity. Medical support will be on site.
Entries are capped at 200 runners. Registration opens July 1, 2026. Changes to a shorter distance are allowed until Tuesday, November 17; no race-day distance switches. Runners must wear their bibs on the front and check in at the finish arch after each big loop to receive lap credit. Bib transfers are not allowed. Certain equipment and activities are prohibited on course, including bicycles, strollers, pets, roller skates, and skateboards. Headphone use is strongly discouraged and participants should follow leave-no-trace practices. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
