Course, support and rules

The course will be waymarked but runners are responsible for knowing the route. Water stations and drop bags are provided at about 8 miles, about 16.5 miles (halfway), and about 25 miles. The race is cupless; marshals will refill runners' own bottles or cups. Drop bags should be no bigger than a large freezer zip bag and clearly marked with the race number. Toilets are available at registration, in Duthie Park, and at Milton of Crathes (around 16–18 miles). Two cut-off points are in place (at the halfway and 3/4-way checkpoints); runners who miss cut offs will be marked DNF and asked to stop. A sweeper will assist from the halfway point. No support runners are permitted. Mandatory kit includes hat, gloves, full waterproofs (jacket and trousers) and a foil blanket. Withdrawn runners are responsible for their own transport.
