Entrants will be escorted along the River Tees to the race start. The route goes through Pecknell Woods, across the Lartington Estate, over Lartington Lane and into Deepdale Nature Reserve, finishing at Brightwoods within Deepdale. Registration and a bag-drop are at Scar Top; finishers will be shown how to return to race headquarters to collect drop-bags and receive a hot drink. Toilets are available at race headquarters. The route is mainly on dirt tracks and fields with a stream crossing, tree roots, boggy sections and technical downhill trails; trail or hybrid shoes are recommended. Organisers advise hat, gloves and a long sleeve top. No dogs are permitted on the route. To reduce waste, no disposable cups or bottled water will be handed out; participants should bring their own water bottle. Included with entry are a way-marked route, first aid provision, a race memento, photos and on-route and finish refreshments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
