Death by 5k Albuquerque is a unique running event scheduled for June 14-15, 2025, at Balloon Fiesta Park. This 24-hour challenge requires participants to complete ten 5k runs, starting every 2.5 hours. The event tests both mental and physical endurance, as runners must manage fatigue and sleep deprivation, with some runs occurring in the dark.

Participants can rest between runs in their cars or set up tents nearby. The course features paved paths, and food, snacks, and hydration will be provided throughout the event. Finishers receive a coveted award and event swag.
