Death by 5k Albuquerque is a unique running event scheduled for June 14-15, 2025, at Balloon Fiesta Park. This 24-hour challenge invites participants to complete ten 5k runs, starting every 2.5 hours, testing both mental and physical endurance. Runners must finish each 5k before the next begins, navigating through physical fatigue and sleep deprivation.

Participants can rest between runs in their cars or set up tents nearby. The event includes food, snacks, and hydration stations, with all finishers receiving a coveted coffin award and event swag.
