Day of the Dead (Legs)
Albuquerque, United States • 1-2 Nov 2025
The Day of the Dead (Legs) is a challenging endurance running event held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, featuring the notorious Whitewash climb. Participants tackle a 10-hour mountain repeat challenge on Saturday, running up and down a steep, technical 0.5-mile trail with 500 feet of elevation gain per lap. On Sunday, a 5-hour "victory lap" on the same terrain offers an additional test of stamina.
The event includes a special "Doubler" challenge combining both days for an ultimate test of grit. Finishers receive handcrafted mugs by a local artist, and awards honor those with the most climbs. The atmosphere is supportive and inclusive, with aid stations, crew welcome, and a focus on personal challenge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
