Event Overview

The Classic Trail Run is a 10K trail running event scheduled for March 15, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The race begins and ends at the Embudo Trailhead Parking Lot. For the 2026 event, the course will be run in a clockwise direction.

Course Details

The scenic route starts on the wide Embudo Trail 193, heading east. It climbs towards the 365 Trail, which features over three miles of single track, rocks, switchbacks, and climbs. The course continues onto the Hillsdale Loop and then Trail 401, heading north. Runners will navigate between Trails 285 and 401, passing the start area before completing an additional loop over the Embudo Arroyo Valley. The final section returns to Trail 193 for a downhill finish. The terrain includes technical hills, cactus areas, and sheet rock.

Participant Information

All registered participants receive a T-shirt, with availability not guaranteed after March 9. All finishers get a unique award. Post-run refreshments are provided. The event has a cutoff time.

Logistics

Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, from 12 to 4 PM at Heart and Sole Sports on Eubank Blvd in Albuquerque. The event will host free group runs for course previews on specified Saturdays in January and February at the Embudo Trailhead.
