Dan Lee Military Race

The Dan Lee Military Race is a non-profit, ten mile event held at Delph Cricket Club, Huddesfield Road, OL3 5EG on 21 March 2026. The route covers mixed terrain with quiet roads, farm tracks and moorland, and includes 1447 ft of elevation gain.

Entries opened on 22 November 2025 and close on 19 March 2026. The entry fee is £15. New for 2025, the entry fee includes a race buff. All profits are donated to the Royal Marines Charity and the Firefighters Charity; a small percentage is retained to support future events.

The event was established in 2023 to commemorate a former Royal Marine and firefighter. It accepts both standard running entries and weighted TAB entries; the TAB category uses a military-style pack of 35 lbs and ankle boots, and categories are separate for each entry type.

Minimum kit requirements are set according to weather and the organiser's discretion and will be communicated at registration. Examples of items that may be required include a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, a long-sleeved base layer, a bag or running vest to carry kit, and emergency food.

Additional event details such as entry lists, terms and conditions, and the cancellation and refund policy are provided by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
