Cocodona 250 is a point to point foot race that starts at Deep Canyon Ranch in Black Canyon City and finishes in Flagstaff. The course covers 252.9 miles and links multiple towns and landscapes in central Arizona, including Crown King, Prescott, Jerome, Clarkdale and Sedona. The route moves from Sonoran desert and canyon terrain into pine forests near Flagstaff.
Course surface is a mix of single-track, double-track and pavement: 45% single-track, 46% double-track, and 9% pavement. The posted cutoff is 125 hours. Reported elevation ranges from 1,996 feet to 9,241 feet, with estimated cumulative gain of 38,791 feet and loss of 33,884 feet.
Aid stations on the 250 course include 21 aid stations and 4 water stations. All aid stations will provide water, an electrolyte drink, sodas, sweet and salty snacks, fruit, and most will offer a substantial hot meal. Gluten free and vegan options are available on request.
