Cocodona 250

Cocodona 250 is a point to point 253.3 mile foot race organized by Aravaipa Running. The course starts in Black Canyon City and finishes in Flagstaff, Arizona, linking multiple towns and landscape zones across central Arizona.

The route traverses the Bradshaw Mountains and the historic town of Crown King, climbs over Mount Union, passes through Prescott including Whiskey Row and the Granite Dells, continues over Mingus Mountain into Jerome, moves onward through Sedona with red rock and high desert vistas, and finishes by ascending Mt Elden into downtown Flagstaff. The course surface is a mix of single-track, double-track and pavement.

Course data: distance 253.3 miles; surface roughly 45% single-track, 46% double-track, 9% pavement; cutoff 125 hours; maximum elevation 9,241 feet and minimum elevation 1,996 feet; estimated cumulative gain 38,791 feet and cumulative loss 33,884 feet.

Support and aid stations: the 250 mile race uses 21 aid stations and 4 water stations. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, sodas, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. Most aid stations also offer a substantial hot meal. Gluten free and vegan options are available on request.
