Thrasher Night Trail takes place Friday, October 10, 2025 at Cave Creek Regional Park in Cave Creek, AZ. Distances offered are:

The race is part of the Insomniac/Fall Sunset series and is held the night before the Cave Creek Thriller Trail runs. Runners who finish both events receive a unique Double Down medal.

Course and logistics

The course uses a roughly 11 kilometer loop that includes the Slate, Quartz, Go John, and Overton Trails. The 33K field completes three loops and the 22K field completes two loops, with runners passing the start/finish area after each lap. Each loop contains two climbs at Quartz and Go John. Aid is available at a fully stocked main aid station at the Group Picnic Area and at a remote Go John aid station passed each loop; supplies include water, ice, electrolyte drink (Gnarly Hydrate), snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups, and hot food options. Crews are allowed at the start/finish only. Pacers are not permitted for any distance. A drop bag area is provided at the start/finish. Course markings include orange ribbons with black polka dots, reflective medallions, laminated signs, and blue and white checkerboard flagging for wrong-way trails. MedStar Solutions medical staff will be based at the start/finish for first aid. Parking at the park carries a $7 entry fee per vehicle.
