The event uses an approximately 11 kilometer loop that includes the Slate, Quartz, Go John and Overton Trails. Aid stations are stocked with water, ice, electrolyte drink options, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, peanut butter and jelly, bean rollups, and some hot food items.

Crews are allowed only at the start/finish area. Pacers are not permitted for any distance. A designated drop bag area is available at the start/finish. The event follows a cupless policy and reusable cups are available for purchase. The park charges a vehicle entry fee and offers developed campsites with hookups and nearby restrooms and showers.
