Elephant Mountain Trail Runs - Cave Creek, AZ
Elephant Mountain Trail Runs take place in Cave Creek Regional Park and use single track trails and dirt roads through the Maricopa Trail, Tonto National Forest, and Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area. The courses pass through desert terrain with Saguaro cacti, rocky outcrops, sand, gravel, and areas of loose rock.

Aid stations are located approximately every 3–7 miles and provide water, an electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. The event is cupless; reusable cups are available at registration and on race day. Drop bags are permitted for the 50 Mile and 50K at Spur Cross; 35K has no remote drop bag. Crews may access the Horse Staging Area and certain remote aid stations; pacers are permitted for the 50 Mile at specified aid stations and are not allowed for the 50K.
Course markings use colored signs and orange ribbon; each distance has a course color and additional “wrong way” flagging. Timing is chip based and all finishers receive a finisher award; top three male and female finishers receive awards by distance. Park entry fees apply per vehicle.
