Clowbridge 5k - NYD! is a 5 km road/trail event held on 1 January 2026. The event is organised by Run JMC and runs under licence ARC 26/0050. It is open to people aged 11 and over. Entries open on 9 August 2025 and close on 31 December 2025. The entry fee is £6.50. Monies from the event will be donated to local causes. Entry requires registration or a login to the SiEntries system.

Course and logistics

The route is two laps of the trail path around Clowbridge Reservoir, run anti-clockwise from Rossendale Valley Sailing Club, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 5PF. The course has about 25 m of elevation over the 5 km distance and is described as largely flat. Marshals will be present and prizes will be awarded. Participants are asked to park sensibly locally; available parking includes the lower car park at the Sailing Club and Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir.
