Overview

Claro Orienteering Club runs the Claro Autumn Evening Street Series, a set of six informal evening orienteering events using the MapRun app and simple line street maps. Each event is a 45 minute score event. Events are held on Tuesday evenings at different towns and meet at or near a pub. Under-16s must be shadowed for these street events. Help is available before the start for newcomers and for those unfamiliar with the app.

Dates and locations include Tuesday 30 Sept in Knaresborough; Tuesday 14 Oct at The Curious Cow, Harrogate (followed by the club AGM); Tuesday 28 Oct in Kirkby Malzeard; Tuesday 11 Nov in Boroughbridge; Tuesday 25 Nov in Otley; and Tuesday 9 Dec in Harrogate. Entry fees include a non-British Orienteering member supplement of £1.00 and a junior/student fee of £1.00; juniors are defined as under 25 on 31 December. Results will be posted on the club website and entrants’ names may appear in results or in newspaper reports. Photography or video at close range requires registration with the organiser and the organiser may decline entry to anyone unable to meet the organiser’s conditions.
