Helmsley Easter 10km 2026

The Helmsley Easter 10km takes place on 5 April 2026 in Helmsley, North Yorkshire. The event is organised by Helmsley Open Air Swimming Pool and is in its 15th year. The course distance is 10 Kilometres. The route is multi-terrain and undulating, using roads, forestry tracks, footpaths and fields. The 2026 edition has a slightly different finish and a changed prize format; traditional Easter eggs and mugs will not be given, replaced by a more sustainable prize. Proceeds support Helmsley Open Air Swimming Pool and Samaritans Northallerton & The Dales.

Entries, fees and rules

Entry is limited to 500 runners. Online entry is recommended to guarantee a place and the finisher’s prize. On-the-day entry is possible only if spaces remain and carries an additional £5 charge. Refunds are not available. Prizes are awarded only to those who run on the day. Headphones are not permitted, with bone-conduction headphones allowed. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs. Dogs are not allowed on the course but may be present by the finish area.

Course facilities and logistics

Race headquarters is at Helmsley Open Air Swimming Pool, Baxtons Sprunt, Helmsley YO62 5HT. Facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Parking is available in the Long Stay Car Park in the Cleveland Way and around the town.
