Event Overview

This event takes place at Walker Place Park in Bossier City. Participants run on the A.R. Teague trail along the Red River. It is a summer event with a Christmas theme.

Distances

The event offers three standard running distances:

Course and Logistics

The course is described as not completely flat but also not hilly, with a character considered flat and fast. Water stations are placed approximately every 1.5 miles. A minimum pace of 16 minutes per mile is required to finish.

Packet pickup takes place on race morning, starting one hour before the event begins.

Participation Details

All finishers receive a custom medal and a race-themed shirt. Awards are given for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as top three in masters (40+), grand masters (50+), and senior masters (60+) categories. Awards are also presented for the top three finishers in five-year age groups, starting from 10 & Under.

Teams of five or more participants receive a discount on registration. The event has a charity partner, the "Be A Zac" Foundation. Race day features live GPS tracking and cheering via the RaceJoy mobile app.

A trail running event at Eddie D. Jones Park on February 21, 2026, with 10-, 5-, and 3-mile courses, age-group awards across all distances, a 3 hour limit on the 10-mile course, and a post-race burgers and drinks gathering.

Geaux Wild Ultra at Lake Bistineau State Park offers 100 mile, 50 mile, and 50K races on a 10 mile loop trail with two aid stations, onsite lodging options, race swag by distance, and awards including finisher medals and a 100 mile buckle.

This trail run supports a mission-focused community effort. The event features a 5K and a Fun Run, with proceeds helping a girls' soccer team travel to Ecuador. A post-race gathering includes food and music.
