Kisatchie Crusher Gravel & Run
Kisatchie Crusher is a two day multisport weekend held at the Day Use Area of Caney Lakes, 216 Caney Lake Park Rd., Minden, LA. Events take place across park roads, forest tracks and the Sugar Cane Trail on Saturday and Sunday in September 2026. The venue includes shade, an amphitheater, picnic tables, AC power, restrooms and a sandy beach.
The gravel races use a loop through Kisatchie Forest that is roughly half gravel and half paved. Courses are well marked, marshals are present and sheriffs monitor highway crossings. Gravel distances are chip timed and include notable elevation.
The running events use paved roads inside the park and pass the camping area. The 5k and 10k are chip timed and described as scenic.
The road Fondo rides follow 100% paved back country roads with bayou views and sections of elevation. Some Fondo distances include an aid station and the longest route has marshals at highways. Riders are expected to obey traffic laws.
The mountain bike races run on the Sugar Cane Trail with added trail sections. Surfaces include dirt and roots and the courses include climbs. MTB races are chip timed.
Camping and group lodging are available onsite. RV sites with hookups are offered at $33 per night. Bunkbed cabins sleep ten and are listed at $125 per night; a kitchen is in a separate building. Early bird pricing applies through July 3. Registrations completed by September 3 receive a shirt. A post race meal is included in registration. All proceeds support Bike Minden for trail maintenance and expansion at Caney Lakes and Kisatchie Forest.
