Kisatchie Crusher is a two day event at Caney Lakes Day Use Area in Minden, Louisiana (216 Caney Lake Park Rd., 71055). The weekend includes gravel bike races, paved Fondo rides, mountain bike races and paved 5k and 10k runs. The site has shade, an amphitheater, picnic tables, AC power, restrooms and a sandy beach. Camping and group lodging are available onsite; RV sites with hookups are offered through recreation.gov and bunkbed cabins are available through CampCaney.com.

Courses and timing vary by discipline. Several events are chip timed. Gravel courses are mixed gravel and paved loops through Kisatchie Forest and will be well marked with marshals and sheriff presence at highways. Fondo rides use 100 percent paved back country roads with scenic bayou views and some elevation; some Fondo routes include aid stations. MTB races use the Sugar Cane Trail with added sections featuring dirt, roots and climbs; e bikes are not allowed on MTB trails per the rangers. Gravel and Fondo events allow e bikes.

All participants receive a post race meal. Early bird registration pricing ends July 3 and T shirts are available for registrations completed by September 3. Net proceeds support Bike Minden for trail maintenance and expansion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
