The primary race course is a 10 mile loop that combines the Blue Wing, Koasati, and Whoa Mule trails. The loop contains muddy sections, tree roots, and natural trail surfaces with minimal elevation change. Two aid stations serve the loop: a main staffed aid station at the Start/Finish area with hot food and trail snacks, and a second unmanned station near mile 5 supplying water, snacks, ice, and electrolytes.
Lake Bistineau State Park provides recreational facilities including trails, boat launches, playgrounds, camping, and cabins. The park has nearly 10 miles of woodland trails and an 11 mile canoe trail. Lodging within the park includes premium and improved campsites with water and electrical hookups and several cabins and group camp areas.
Awards and swag vary by distance. The 100K and 100 Miler receive finisher buckles and top finishers receive custom buckle holders. The 25K and 50 Miler receive medals and top finishers receive plaques. Several distances include branded apparel and accessories. Cutoff windows are specified for each distance. Race day food at the Start/Finish includes hot and cold options and vegan choices. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
