Lake Bistineau State Park sits on the western shore of the lake and contains upland mixed hardwood forest plus stands of cypress and tupelo trees. Park facilities listed include two boat launches, hiking and biking trails, playgrounds, camping, cabins, and fishing.
Lodging details note 17 premium campsites with water and electrical hookups and 44 improved campsites with water and electrical hookups. Swag and awards vary by distance, including finisher buckles for 100K and 100 Miler and medals or plaques for shorter distances.
