Course and facilities
The marked course is a 10-mile loop that combines the Blue Wing, Koasati, and Whoa Mule trails. There are two aid stations: a main aid station at the Start/Finish area offering hot food and a variety of trail snacks, and a second unmanned station near mile 5 providing water, snacks, ice, and electrolytes. The trail terrain is typical of Louisiana State Parks: mostly flat with minimal elevation, muddy sections, tree roots, and natural surfaces.
Lake Bistineau State Park amenities include cabins, campsites with water and electrical hookups, picnic areas, boat launches, hiking and biking trails, and fishing opportunities. Race day food at the Start/Finish includes a range of snacks and beverages; the finish meal includes pulled pork sliders, pasta salad, and cake. Vegan options will be available.
