Course and support

The route follows Trail 100 from Mountain View Park to Dreamy Draw and back. The single-track trail is described as having steep climbs and descents, with rugged terrain and loose rocks on sections of the route. The race takes place within the City of Phoenix North Mountain Preserve, between Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. Aid station support is provided at miles 2, 4, 6.5, 9 and 11. All athletes receive a technical running shirt, and the event includes finisher and division awards. The race was first run in 1987 and was one of the earlier organized trail runs in Arizona.
