Christiansen Trail Run

The Christiansen Trail Run is a trail running event held on January 2, 2027 at Mountain View Park, 9901 N. 7th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. The course follows Trail 100 from Mountain View Park to Dreamy Draw and back, located in the City of Phoenix North Mountain Preserve between Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley.

The event distance is 14 miles on mostly single track. The trail includes steep climbs and descents, rugged terrain and loose rocks, and some technical sections. The route is marked as difficult due to length and technical portions, though much of the terrain is moderate in difficulty.

All entrants receive a technical running shirt. Aid station support is provided at miles 2, 4, 7, 10 and 12 with water and Gatorade available at each station; energy gels are supplied at miles 4 and 10. A 4 hour time limit is in effect, equivalent to a 17 minute per mile pace. The race was first held in 1987 and is one of the earlier organized trail runs in Arizona. Registration opens April 1.
