Vertigo Night Runs at White Tank Mountain Regional Park

Vertigo Night Runs takes place on Saturday August 8, 2026 at White Tank Mountain Regional Park in Waddell, AZ. The event offers multiple trail distances run on the Sonoran Competitive track loop, a 6.5 mile (10.4 kilometer) loop with steep inclines, swooping turns, technical descents, and rugged terrain. Distances may vary slightly each year due to permitting.

Aid and support are provided from a fully stocked start/finish aid station and a remote North Ridge Aid station located near KM 6.4. Stations include water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups, and some hot food. This is a cupless race so runners should bring a reusable cup or purchase one on site. Drop bags are available at the start/finish. Crews have access at the start/finish only. Pacers are allowed for the 52K beginning on the final loop.

Event logistics note ample parking adjacent to the Competitive Track and a park entry fee per vehicle. Camping is permitted in the Competitive Track parking area with a separate camping permit fee. MedStar Solutions medical staff will be based at the start/finish for on-site first aid. Pets are not allowed on-course and must be leashed if present at the event. The race is part of the Insomniac Night Trail Run Series and includes live timing, finish photos, chip timing, a branded race goody, and finisher awards. Celebrate Independence Day with a scenic 4 mile trail run through White Tank Regional Park. Experience mountain views and climb toward the top of the park to earn a finisher medal and T-shirt at this cup-less green event.
