Vertigo Night Runs takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at White Tank Mountain Regional Park in Waddell, Arizona. The event is part of the Insomniac Night Trail Run Series and uses the Sonoran Competitive track loop. The loop is 6.5 miles (10.4 kilometers) and features steep inclines, swooping turns, technical descents, and rugged terrain. Distances offered are:

The 6K is intended for first-time night trail runners. Courses may vary slightly each year due to permitting.

Logistics and support

Aid is provided at a main start/finish station and a remote North Ridge aid station (KM 6.4) that runners pass each loop. Aid stations include water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups, and hot food options. This is a cupless race; runners should bring a reusable cup or may purchase one on site. Drop bags are available at the start/finish area. Crews are allowed at the start/finish. Pacers are permitted only for 52K runners beginning on the final loop. Parking is available at the Competitive Track adjacent to the start area; the park charges a vehicle entry fee. Camping is permitted near the start/finish with a separate camping permit fee. Medical staff will be based at the start/finish to provide first aid. Registration closes August 3.
