China Camp Trail Run

China Camp Trail Run takes place at China Camp State Park in San Rafael, California, on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The event offers three distances:

• Half Marathon
• 10K
• 5K

The courses follow an extensive trail network with single track trails, forested sections, climbs and descents, and open trails on the San Pablo Bay side of the park. Runners will encounter views of Mt. Tam, San Pablo Bay, and San Francisco Bay. Parking is available along N. San Pedro Road at the entrance to Miwok Meadows; carpooling is encouraged. Total race capacity is 275 entrants across all distances.

Aid stations are stocked with a variety of foods and beverages such as Gu gels, chews, Stroopwafels, trail mix, pretzels, potato chips, cookies, Coke, ginger ale, water, Skratch Labs hydration mix, PB&J sandwiches, bananas, watermelon, and tangerines. Aid stations carry basic first aid items and salt tablets but no anti inflammatory medicine. Runners are advised to carry at least one 20 ounce bottle, as distances between aid stations vary.

Volunteers support setup, check in, aid stations, course marshaling, timing, and post race food; volunteers receive a race T shirt, food, and may earn credit toward future events. Most race shirts use a tri blend performance fabric; to guarantee a shirt and size, registration must be completed by May 9, 2026.

Awards include custom trophies for the top three overall finishers by gender in each distance, sponsor items for top finishers, custom finisher medals for all, a dead last finisher award for each event, and age group medals three deep for male, female, and non binary categories. Entry fees are non refundable; a 50 percent credit toward a future Inside Trail Racing event may be issued if cancellation is received at least three weeks before the race.
