China Camp Trail Run

China Camp Trail Run : San Rafael, CA

The event is a trail running race held at China Camp State Park in San Rafael, California. The course uses an extensive trail network that includes single track trails, climbs over a local peak, forested sections, and descents to open trails on the San Pablo Bay side. Runners can expect views toward Mt. Tam, San Pablo Bay, and San Francisco Bay.

The event base is near 800 N San Pedro Road at the entrance to Miwok Meadows. Parking is free along N. San Pedro Road and participants walk up a dirt access road to the start and finish area. Race capacity is limited to 275 entrants across all distances. Check-in and bib pickup are scheduled for the morning of the event.

Aid stations are stocked with a range of fuel and fluids such as energy gels, chews, trail mix, pretzels, salty snacks, cola, ginger ale, water, Skratch Labs hydration mix, fruit, PB and J sandwiches, and basic first aid items. No anti-inflammatory medications are provided. Because aid station spacing varies, participants are encouraged to carry at least one 20 oz bottle.

Shirts are tri-blend performance tees and to be guaranteed a shirt and chosen size registrants must register by May 9, 2026. Awards include custom trophies for top three overall finishers, finishers medals for all, a special item for each top finisher, a Dead Last Finisher award, and age group medals awarded three deep for male, female, and non-binary categories.

Entry fees are non-refundable. A credit equal to 50 percent of the original fee may be issued if cancellation is received at least three weeks before the event. The organizer may make no refunds for event cancellation but may at its discretion offer future race credit or deferrals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
