Course and logistics

The courses traverse Joaquin Miller and Redwood Regional parks, including Sequoia-Bayview and French trails, and finish via the Cinderella trail (nicknamed "Wicked Step Sisters"). Distances were measured with a Rolatape surveyor's wheel. The course is marked with colored ribbon about every 200 yards; polka-dot flagging indicates turns and blue ribbons indicate wrong-way junctions. GPX files are available for each distance.

Parking at Joaquin Miller Park is free. Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish for 30K, Marathon, and 50K. To guarantee a shirt, register at least 10 business days before the event.

Support, safety and rules

Elevation gains and surface breakdowns are provided per distance (for example, 8K gain 725', mostly single-track; 50K gain 5,495', mostly single-track). Fully stocked aid stations are located every 3-6 miles with fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink. Runners are advised to carry at least 20 oz. of water between aid stations. The event is cupless; participants should bring a personal fluid container. Headphones are allowed only on dirt-road sections and are prohibited on single-track, when crossing paved roads, at aid stations, and at the finish. No dogs are allowed on course.
